I finished rendering/shading my Ascension drawing in pen & ink. I did not plan lighting as much as I should have because instinct just sort of took over. It’s the first time that I used mostly solid blacks on a picture so I’m not really sure if everything looks right -

The roundhouse kick kicks butt effectively. In my opinion, a super-heroine who cannot do a decent roundhouse kick is lame. Changing how the arms are positioned doesn’t lessen the powerful imagery of this kick.

Horned demons are cool. That’s all I can say about this page off my sketchbook.

From flight or a high jump, I believe this has got to be the best way to land. I drew it in my sketchbook as a reminder. I haven’t quite decided how the other arm is positioned so I drew in 2 variations.

Make-up sketches for last grading’s bad mark on feet. I drew a variety of feet which I referenced from classical paintings & fashion magazines. This time I got the approval to proceed to the next assignment (heads).

More hands! My teacher said the previous looked too mechanical. So I’m making up for the 85% grade he gave me :P

Quick pen sketches of seated male figures. I hated drawing backs before just cause it’s quite an unfamiliar part of the body. It’s one big part but it’s got a lot of other chunks that move underneath when flexed this way or that. Anyway, I think I’m getting the hang of it.
