I should’ve finished this last week but I hurt my back & have only gotten back to the drawing board today - but that’s another story…
Catwoman & Batman covered in ink & screen tones. I think Batman lets Catwoman go half the times they run into one another - just saying.

Combining my ink drawing of (The Clothed Male Figure) Alucard & (The Female Clothed Figure) Shanoa on one page for a final presentation on Pen, Brush & Ink Techniques.
Both subjects/characters are © Konami Castlevania, making this drawing an original fanart.

My kid nephew helped me pick out a subject for my assignment on the Clothed Female Figure in Ink: Shanoa, heroine of the RPG game, Castlevania Order of Ecclesia.
Rendering metals & glossy materials has always been a challenge to me in the past but after inking 2 Castlevania characters, who are often decked out in satin, leather & armor, I think I’m getting the hang of it.

My latest assignment: The clothed male figure drawn in ink. I chose Alucard from Castlevania as my subject (originally designed by one of my favorite illustrators Ayami Kojima).
Lesson Learned: I used to ink exclusively with pens but I discovered by trial & error that the secret in rendering shiny black surfaces is a No.2 round brush.

The comicsverse never really stops talking about Power Girl. The talk never dies down, it just sort of floats above everyone’s heads for a while. Then, when she appears in a new outfit, the talk descends like an avalanche & everyone’s ranting about her again! That’s cause she never seems to show up in an outfit that’s JUST RIGHT, so I’ve decided to put my 2 cents in.

I finished rendering/shading my Ascension drawing in pen & ink. I did not plan lighting as much as I should have because instinct just sort of took over. It’s the first time that I used mostly solid blacks on a picture so I’m not really sure if everything looks right -

CATWOMAN - a femme fatale, a whip-wielding burglar with a taste for high-stake thefts. She’s got style & skillz. She even uses her love-hate relationship with Batman to her advantage! I don’t think there ever will be a she-villain as dangerous as she!Batman & the building are plotted correctly on 3-point perspective but I’m not so sure about Catwoman. That’s cause I did not plot her position mathematically. I just laid her on there by a guess. It looks ok to me - what do you think?

Drawing fan art instead of drawing assignments. I am a bad-ass that way. Mwahahaha!
I saw a small corner panel by David Finch in Top Cow’s Ascension & thought it was a very good composition so I tried it out for myself. The scene is basically the same, but I changed the vanishing point & eye level so that the figure looks as if he’s heading towards the viewer instead of upwards.
The shaded parts will be covered in solid black ink so I did not bother to draw an outfit on him.
